Product Overview

This adjustable tapered ring compressor guides the piston and ring assembly into a cylinder during engine assembly. Its 83.05-86.87mm operating range covers the specified FA20/FA20T and FB20 engine bores, including compatible oversizes within that range.

• 2024 Subaru Impreza Base/Sport with FB20 2.0L engine only; excludes the 2.5L RS.
• 2013-2023 Subaru Crosstrek with FB20 2.0L engine only.
• Engine assembly tool: the finished cylinder bore and piston/ring assembly must be within 83.05-86.87mm. Excludes 2.5L trims and any engine machined beyond this range.

Installation Information

Use during engine assembly with clean, correctly lubricated pistons, rings and bores. Set the compressor to the finished bore size, align it squarely with the cylinder and follow the engine builder's piston/ring installation procedure. Do not force an incorrectly aligned piston or ring assembly.
