Reverse Light Assembly Removal

  1. Detach Trim Clips
Start by removing the three pop clips located beneath the rear bumper that are securing the trim piece around the reverse light assembly.

  2. Remove Trim Piece
Once the clips are taken out, gently pull off the trim piece surrounding the reverse light assembly from the bumper.

  3. Unfasten Bolts
You will now see two 10mm bolts holding the reverse light assembly in position. Unscrew these bolts to release the assembly.

  4. Disconnect Assembly
After removing the bolts, pull the assembly out and disconnect it from the original wiring harness.

Tail Light Removal

  1. Remove Inner Trim
To fit the new harness for the 4th brake light, you’ll need to access one of the tail lights. Use a plastic pry tool to remove the trim piece on the inner side of the tail light by prying it away from the gap between the trim and the rubber trunk gasket.

  2. Unscrew Bolts
This will expose two 10mm bolts. Remove these, as well as the 10mm bolt located on the upper part of the tail light.

  3. Take Out Tail Light
Carefully pull the tail light straight out from the vehicle and disconnect it.

  4. Connect New Harness
Attach the provided wiring harness to the original harness and connect the two white wires together.

  5. Route Wiring
Run the rest of the wiring down to the reverse light area near the bottom of the bumper, then reinstall the tail light.

4th Brake Light Installation

  1. Connect Short Harness
Use the shorter harness included in your kit. Connect the grey connector to the OEM reverse light harness, and then connect it to the 4th brake light.

  2. Attach Tail Light Harness
Also connect the harness from the tail light to the 4th brake light.

  3. Install 4th Brake Light
Slide the 4th brake light into position and secure it with the two 10mm bolts.

  4. Reassemble and Test
Reattach the trim cover and pop clips. Test to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
