It kinda locks the cam in place, i tightened both of the set screws and it still managed to move the cam :/

Essential for timing belt changes

I've owned a couple of these now, sold my last one to a mechanic at the local Subaru dealership. This is ESSENTIAL for anyone doing a solo timing belt job on a DOHC EJ. Just pull the cam covers, set TDC on the crank to align the cams, then lock 'em in place with this guy and the rest is a snap.
