Verus Engineering Dive Plane Kit - 2022+ Toyota GR86

OVERVIEW

The Verus Engineering Dive Plane (Canard) Kit adds front-end downforce without requiring the front splitter to be moved further forward. The dive planes are designed to create a strong vortex, helping reduce lift within the wheel well while also generating downforce directly on the dive planes.

Utilizing state-of-the-art Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis during the R&D process, Verus Engineering was able to optimize the design and extract additional aerodynamic performance within the available space.

This Dive Plane Kit is designed for owners looking to shift the aerodynamic balance forward, making it particularly useful for helping balance vehicles equipped with a large rear wing or aggressive rear diffuser.

SCIENCE

When properly designed, dive planes can increase front-end grip and cornering performance by generating additional front-end downforce while reducing lift in other areas of the vehicle. Verus Engineering utilized CFD analysis to optimize the Dive Plane Kit, allowing for increased aerodynamic performance within the available space on the vehicle.

The Dive Plane Kit is part of the Verus Engineering Ventus 1 aerodynamic package for the Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ. The Ventus 1 package is designed to provide a moderate increase in downforce without a significant increase in drag, creating a safe and balanced aerodynamic setup at speed.

The Ventus 1 package helps the GR86 and BRZ make better use of available tire grip on the track while improving high-speed confidence on the street. While primarily geared toward track-focused vehicles, the components can also be used on daily-driven cars.
