Why Choose the Overtake Post MAF Hose Kit?

The Overtake Post MAF Hose Kit is designed to optimize the flow of air into your engine by addressing the common issues found in factory post MAF hoses. The OEM rubber hoses are made with sharp bends and corrugated folds that disrupt airflow, creating high- and low-pressure spots that can affect engine efficiency. Our Post MAF Hose Kit solves these problems by providing smoother airflow paths and a tapered design to ensure a seamless transition from the airbox to the throttle body.

Tapered End Design for Optimized Airflow: One of the most important features of the Overtake Post MAF Hose Kit is its tapered end design. By ensuring that the inner diameter of the hose perfectly matches the OEM airbox and throttle body, we eliminate flow disruptions caused by mismatched diameters. This design prevents vortex formation, which can cause turbulence and reduce engine performance.

5-Ply Silicone Construction with Stainless Steel Reinforcement: Our hoses are made with 5-ply silicone and reinforced with an internal stainless steel wire. This construction not only provides flexibility for easy installation but also ensures durability and prevents the hoses from collapsing under vacuum pressure, unlike cheaper competitor hoses.

Methodology: How the Overtake Post MAF Hose Kit Improves on OEM Design

To develop the best aftermarket part, we identified the shortcomings of the OEM rubber hoses. The factory hoses are made with sharp angles and corrugated folds that create uneven airflow and turbulence. The Overtake Post MAF Hose Kit was designed with smooth, gradual curves to ensure consistent airflow and minimize air disruption. The tapered ends match the OEM airbox and throttle body diameters perfectly, reducing turbulence and promoting even airflow throughout the intake system.

Flow Testing Results: We conducted comprehensive testing, comparing the vorticity (flow disruption) between the factory hose and the Overtake tapered hose. The results showed that the Overtake design significantly reduces airflow turbulence, which results in more efficient engine performance and improved throttle response.
