OVERTAKE Turbo Heatshield Reflective Gold Foil - 2002-2014 WRX, 2004-2021 STI, 2004-2013 Forester, 2005-2009 Legacy GT/Outback XT

Your heat shield absorbs radiant heat from the turbo and re-radiates it right back at your intercooler — unless you do something about it.

The OVERTAKE Turbo Heatshield Reflective Gold Foil applies to the inside face of the OVERTAKE Turbo Heatshield, adding a reflective barrier that bounces radiant heat back toward the turbo instead of letting it pass through. Peel, position, press. Done in minutes.

What You'll Feel:

• More consistent charge temps, especially on repeated runs or during stop-and-go traffic
• Less heat creeping toward the TMIC between pulls
• Added confidence when the ambient temperature is already working against you
• The satisfaction of wringing every degree of protection out of your heatshield

Features:

• Multi-layer construction: gold reflective surface, fiberglass core, adhesive backing
• Rated to withstand up to 800°F of radiant heat

• Pre-cut to fit the Overtake Turbo Heatshield precisely
• Self-adhesive backing, no tools required
• Applies to the inside face of the shield
• Sold separately from the heatshield

The Details:

A stainless steel heat shield does a good job of physically separating the turbo from the intercooler, but stainless conducts and re-radiates heat. Over a long pull or a hot lap, the shield itself becomes a warm surface sitting next to your intake charge. The reflective foil addresses this by lining the inside face of the shield with a material that bounces radiant heat back at its source rather than absorbing it. Application is straightforward: the foil is pre-cut to match the OVERTAKE Turbo Heatshield profile, so there's no trimming or guesswork. Peel the backing, press it to the inside of the shield, and your heat management setup is complete. Works best when installed as a pair with the Overtake Turbo Heatshield.
