OVERTAKE Stage 1 Drivetrain Kit – Subaru WRX 2015–2026

Fix the vague, sloppy factory shift feel in your Subaru with the OVERTAKE Stage 1 Drivetrain Kit. This complete 3-piece shifter kit combines our most popular Subaru manual transmission upgrades into one perfectly matched package, delivering shorter throws, tighter engagement, and a more connected driving experience.

Designed specifically for the Subaru WRX and Crosstrek, this kit addresses key sources of shifter slop in the factory system.

Why Upgrade Your Subaru Shifter?

Subaru’s factory shifter components prioritize comfort over precision. Over time, rubber bushings flex, shift throws get longer, and gear engagement becomes vague. The OVERTAKE Stage 1 Drivetrain Kit corrects these compromises at the source, restoring mechanical feel and performance-focused control.

What’s Included in the Kit

OVERTAKE Shifter Stop

The factory shifter allows excessive side-to-side movement, especially in 1st and 2nd gear. The OVERTAKE Shifter Stop removes unwanted lateral play for cleaner, more confident gear engagement and reduces missed shifts.

OVERTAKE Short Shift Transmission Plate

This precision CNC-machined short shift plate reduces shift throw by approximately 30% compared to stock. Increased mass and optimized geometry improve shift inertia, resulting in faster, smoother, and more deliberate gear changes without compromising drivability.

OVERTAKE Brass Shifter Bushing Kit

Factory rubber shifter bushings flex, wear out, and absorb feedback. Our brass shifter bushings replace those soft OEM components to dramatically tighten shift feel, improve accuracy, and deliver long-term durability.

Engineered by Enthusiasts. Built for Performance.

Every OVERTAKE product is designed, tested, and refined with the Subaru community in mind. This kit delivers one of the most noticeable driver-focused upgrades you can make to your manual transmission Subaru.
