OVERTAKE Post MAF Hose Elbow - Subaru 2015-2021 WRX, 2014-2018 Forester XT

The OVERTAKE Post MAF Hose Elbow replaces the molded factory elbow between the airbox and the turbo inlet on the 2015-2021 WRX and 2014-2018 Forester XT. It is the same heat resistant ABS piece that anchors our VB kit, and it runs on your factory couplers, so the swap comes down to one part and a bracket.

The stock elbow on your car has resonator pockets molded into the wall, and every one of them sits in the path of the air your turbo is asking for.

Those pockets are there for a reason. Subaru tuned them to pull intake noise out of the cabin, and on a car sold to a broad audience that is the right call. The OVERTAKE Post MAF Hose Elbow is built for the 2015-2021 WRX and 2014-2018 Forester XT, taking the other side of that trade, giving up the muting for a smooth interior wall and a consistent bend.

What We Solved:

The factory elbow is a solid molded piece with obstructions built into it. Swapping it out clears them without touching anything else in the intake tract:

• Resonator pockets gone
• Smooth interior wall
• Larger, consistent radius through the bend, smoother flow
• Factory couplers and clamps reused
• Stock airbox and MAF retained, no tune

Features:

• Molded ABS elbow, heat resistant, smooth interior wall and an OEM-plus exterior finish with OVERTAKE branding
• The same elbow that goes into the OVERTAKE Post MAF Pipe Kit for the 2022-2026 WRX
• Runs on your factory couplers and clamps, no silicone included
• Matte black powder coated stainless steel bracket that picks up the factory mounting point
• Two mounting bolts included
• 20 to 30 minute install with hand tools

The Details:

Intake noise is a design target on every car Subaru sells, and the post MAF elbow is one of the places they hit it. On the 2015-2021 WRX that elbow is a solid molded piece with resonator pockets built into the wall, positioned to absorb noise before it reaches the cabin. There is no corrugation on this one, since the couplers at each end carry the flex, so the pockets are the whole story. OVERTAKE molds the replacement in heat resistant ABS with a clean interior wall and a consistent radius through the bend, then finishes the outside so it reads as something Subaru could have shipped. The stainless bracket picks up the factory mounting point, which keeps the elbow supported rather than riding on the couplers alone. Reuse your factory couplers and clamps, budget 20 to 30 minutes, and expect the intake to be a little louder than stock once those pockets are gone.
