Girodisc 2-Piece Rotor PAIR - Rear - 18-21 STI

Brake-pad modification required: OEM and some aftermarket pads need additional backing-plate clearance to accommodate the rotor hardware while retaining the factory parking brake. Follow the instructions supplied with the rotors. Girodisc pads for this application are supplied pre-modified.

These Girodisc two-piece floating rear rotors replace the original discs while retaining the factory calipers, brake balance, and ABS operation. Reduced rotating and unsprung weight helps improve suspension response.

The reusable center hats are made from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum. Girodisc's proprietary cast-iron friction rings are poured in the USA and machined in-house. Curved directional vanes draw cooling air through the discs.

The floating mounting system uses high-strength alloy-steel drive pins with corrosion-resistant cadmium plating. High-grade cap screws and hardened washers secure the assembly, while spring washers reduce cold rattle and allow thermal expansion. The design also allows the rotor to center between the pads.

When the friction rings wear out, they can be replaced while retaining the Girodisc hats.
