Clutch Masters Chromoly Steel Lightweight Flywheel - 04-21 STI

Clutch Masters 1-Piece Chromoly Flywheels are made from the highest quality 4140 or better grade steel.

 

It is significantly lighter compared to the OEM cast iron flywheel. Clutch Masters chromoly-steel flywheel are engineered to be driver friendly with minimal gear rattle which is increased when too light of a flywheel is utilized. The light weight flywheel offers a much quicker throttle response without compromising any bottom end torque which can be reduced when using too light of a flywheel. Clutch Masters light weight flywheels also help to eliminate any turbo-lag which is produced with a heavy flywheel.

 

We recommend the chromoly-steel flywheel for street applications and aluminum flywheel for only race applications. Clutch Masters Flywheels are SFI Certified meeting performance and safety standards for the automotive and motorsport industry.

- 2007-2009 Subaru Legacy Spec. B 6MT models use Dual-Mass-Flywheels (DMF) and  require the STI type clutch assembly in order to use the STI type flywheel.

- Do NOT use a lightweight flywheel with a lightweight crankshaft pulley as reduction in mass will cause random mis-fire CEL false triggers. Install one or the other but not both!
