The Active™ 3.0 Electric Pressure Washer is Active's flagship high-flow pressure washer, developed for automotive detailing enthusiasts and professionals looking for maximum flow from an electric pressure washing setup.
Built around Active's patented 5-piston pump and a low-speed induction motor, the Active 3.0 delivers an impressive 3.0 GPM at 1,000 PSI working pressure while maintaining a current draw of approximately 18 amps. The combination of high water flow and moderate pressure makes it particularly well suited to automotive detailing, providing fast rinsing and excellent foam cannon performance without relying on unnecessarily high pressure.
Unlike Active's lower-output models, the 3.0 also features a serviceable pump with dedicated oil fill and drain plugs, allowing routine oil changes to help maximize service life.
Important: The Active 3.0 requires a dedicated 120V / 20A electrical circuit and is supplied with a 20A plug.

3.0 GPM High-Flow Performance
The Active 3.0 is engineered to deliver 3.0 GPM at approximately 1,000 PSI working pressure, providing a high-flow washing experience particularly well suited to automotive detailing.
Rather than chasing extremely high pressure figures, the 3.0 prioritizes water volume, helping rinse soap, dirt, and debris from vehicle surfaces quickly and efficiently.
The increased flow is also beneficial when using a foam cannon, helping provide excellent detergent coverage when paired with the appropriate orifice.
Patented 5-Piston Pump
At the heart of the Active 3.0 is Active's patented 5-piston pump design.
The pump incorporates upgraded seals, valves, and pistons compared with Active's entry- and mid-level pressure washers and is designed with serviceability in mind.
Dedicated oil fill and drain plugs allow the pump oil to be changed as part of routine maintenance rather than treating the pump as a completely maintenance-free component.
Low-Speed Induction Motor
The Active 3.0 uses a 1,600 RPM low-speed induction motor, helping keep operating noise to approximately 75 dB.
This makes the unit particularly well suited to garages and professional detailing environments where reduced operating noise can make extended washing sessions more comfortable.
Electrical Requirements
The Active 3.0 requires a dedicated 20A, 120V / 60Hz electrical circuit.
The pressure washer draws approximately 18 amps during normal operation and comes equipped with the appropriate 20A plug.
A standard 15A household circuit is not suitable for operating the Active 3.0.
Active discourages the use of extension cords whenever possible.
If an extension cord must be used:

Using an undersized extension cord or inadequate circuit can result in voltage drop, reduced performance, or tripped breakers.
Pressure Washer Hose Requirements
The Active 3.0 uses an M22-14mm high-pressure outlet.
Active recommends using a steel-braided rubber pressure washer hose with a minimum internal diameter of 5/16".
For best performance:

Ensure the connection is compatible with the M22-14mm outlet, either directly or through the appropriate adapter
1/4" pressure washer hoses are not recommended for use with the Active 3.0.
Non-steel-braided hoses may expand under pressure, which can prevent the pressure washer from achieving its intended operating pressure and may cause the machine to run continuously.
Nozzle Requirements
The Active 3.0 is supplied with a 6.3-size spray nozzle orifice, selected to provide the intended balance between pressure, water flow, and electrical current draw.
If replacing or using aftermarket spray nozzles, Active recommends an orifice size between:
6.3–7.0
Using an incorrectly sized nozzle can alter pressure, flow, and electrical load.
Foam Cannon Compatibility
For foam cannon use, Active recommends a 1.65mm foam cannon orifice.
A 1.65mm foam cannon orifice is included with the Active 3.0, allowing it to be installed in compatible aftermarket foam cannons.
The larger orifice is important with this high-flow pressure washer because it helps keep electrical current draw below approximately 18 amps during normal foam cannon operation.
Connections
Water Inlet:
The pressure washer uses a standard North American 3/4" garden hose connection with 11.5 TPI threads.
High-Pressure Outlet:
The pump outlet uses an M22-14mm connection.
When installing aftermarket hoses, quick-connect fittings, hose reels, or other accessories, make sure the fittings are compatible with the M22-14mm outlet.
Important: M22-14mm and M22-15mm fittings are different. Verify the connection size of any aftermarket hose or adapter before ordering.

Maintenance
Unlike many compact electric pressure washers, the Active 3.0 uses a serviceable oil-filled pump.
When first setting up the pressure washer, the factory shipping plug must be replaced with the supplied ventilation cap before operation.
Active specifies 85W-90 oil for pump servicing.
