- Some oil pan designs have a baffle screen in front of the oil drain plug port and some magnetic drain plugs are longer/larger and will come in to contact with the baffle/screen.   Recommend to replace oil pan with the 2006+ Subaru WRX oil pan design or grind down the magnet for clearance.
